How We Confirm Moisture
AAA Infrared Building Diagnostics, LLC. uses only the most sensitive equipment in our energy audits of your home. We use the General Electric Protimeter MMS Plus to substantiate the discoveries of the infrared camera. This way we have a double check when determining moisture inside your walls, drywall, roof cavity, flooring and subflooring.
The Protimeter MMS Plus meter is capable of measuring moisture in solid materials in two ways. First, it can quickly detect structure moisture without making any surface holes. This meter is also capable of measuring moisture deep within the material independent of surface moisture-an important distinction when assessing water damage.
Second, it’s capable of measuring building conditions such as temperature, relative humidity, dew point and proximity to dew point.
